About Me

Pregnancy, birth and new parenting bring about many changes.  I'd love to connect with you to find out how I can best support you in your journey. Read on to learn more about me and my background/experiences.

Dominique Vincent is a perinatal specialist and equity/diversity advocate with an extensive background in supporting and connecting pregnant and new families with the emotional, informational and physical support they need for healthy and satisfying pregnancy and early parenting journey.

Ever since I was a young child, I’ve been interested in women’s reproductive health.  I began babysitting at age twelve and one of my very first jobs was to care for a neighbor's three-week-old daughter.  In high school, I joined the Teen Health Advisory Council (THAC) to learn about reproductive health and to become a peer educator.

In between high school and when my daughter was born a little more than ten years ago, my course in life changed.  I took a detour in college to pursue my love for music (and the entertainment industry).  Even though I no longer use my musical background as a career, I love to incorporate my background in music anytime I can to enhance my perinatal work.  Ultimately, it was my experience with my first birth and then my subsequent next pregnancy (home birth VBAC) just nine months after the birth of my first child that reinvigorated my passion to change the world and make it better for the little people I was bringing into the world.  This also fueled my desire for others to have better access to information, community, quality care, trauma reduction/trauma processing and improved outcomes.

I have been a part of the Blossom Birth and Family community since 2011 in one way or another. During my time with the organization I was a client, board member, staff member and Executive Director.  As a staff member, I grew the organization and supported new programs, like the creation of a Volunteer Doula Program with the local county hospital.  I also oversaw the facility, staff, volunteers and most importantly, served more than 1,000 new and expectant families annually.

I look forward to serving you too!
